Synopsis: Based on the novel of the same name by Sarah Weeks. The story follows Heidi, a 12-year-old girl with a mentally disabled mother, Diane (also called “So B. It”), and a neighbor, Bernadette, who serves as their caretaker. When Heidi discovers a mysterious photograph and a cryptic word, “soof,” she embarks on a cross-country journey to uncover the truth about her family’s past. Along the way, she encounters various challenges and meets new people, ultimately unraveling the secrets of her mother’s past and finding her own identity.
